Dussehra utsav was celebrated in Desh Bhagat Global School,Mandi Gobindgarh with fun and fervor. In the scenario of this online era, a power point presentation related to Lord Rama’s life was shown to the students in the online special meet on the eve of Dusshera. Different activities of were introduced to students i.e. colouring, card making, effigy making. Students participated in all activities with great enthusiasm. The junior wing (pre-primary) played different roles viz. Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshmana and Ravana from the epic the Ramayana. The effigy of Ravana was made by senior students. School principal,Mrs Neha Dhall acquainted students with the importance of this festival i.e. victory of good over evil. School secretary, Mrs Tajinder Kaur gave the message to stand against the evils of the society. She highlighted some social issues like terrorism, corruption, unemployment, poverty, inequality, child labour, riots, racism, female infanticide and addiction etc. The members of the management, faculty, staff and students urged everyone to put an end to the ‘Evils’ whether social and personal to make the society a better place to live in.
