Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour and gaiety in the Desh Bhagat Global School Mandi Gobindgarh. The celebrations commenced with the customary unfurling of the national flag followed by the National Anthem. The school choir chanted the ‘gayatri mantra’ and a vibrant rhythmic drill by the students of Class VIII enthralled the audience.
The school organised a series of activities on the occasion. Students pledged their allegiance to the flag and promised to carry their nation to greater heights and achieve success in various walks of life. The talk show on ‘digitalisation’ was an eye opener for everyone. A colourful cultural program was presented by the students. Patriotic songs and dances were presented by the students and teachers to mark the occasion. School Principal Honourable Mrs Neha Dhall, urged the students to maintain the dignity and glory of the country by working together to eradicate all social evils. School secretary Honourable Madam Mrs Tejinder Kaur and Esteemed Chairman Sir Dr Zora Singh inspired students by sharing the sacrifices of the martyrs. They motivate the students to be the harbingers of a social change to build a new, better and strong India.
