The Rakhi thread is considered as sacred because it reminds of the promise a brother makes to her sister that he will protect her until death. On the occasion, sisters pray for the good health and well being of their brothers and in lieu get gifts from their brothers.

With raksha bandhan round the corner, students have been actively taking part in rakhi-making contests and showcasing their abilities.


At Desh Bhagat Global School, a rakhi-making competition for Class III to VII students was held. Children participated in an event and showcased their skills by making a ‘thread of affection and protection’. Girls at DBGS , tied rakhis on the wrists of boys. The teachers explained the importance of the day of Raksha Bandhan to the students.The Principal Mrs. Neha Dhall,  appreciated the efforts of students.The honorable  chairman,Dr.Zora Singh and director Dr.Tejinder Kaur congratulated the s tudents  and  motivated them to participate in such  competitions.
